Going to the Big City...

Yup, that's right.  I'm headed into the big city.  Today is the live jurying for Women Painters West.

Women Painters West is a local group of (you guessed it) female artists.  Their website is here.  They have some incredible programs and host more than a few group shows throughout the year at various locations in and around Los Angeles.  I've been lucky enough to attend several of their exhibitions and the work is really terrific.  Moreover, they hold a luncheon every month which features a slide presentation by a guest artist.  I attended once as a guest and it was so much fun.  Plus, I seriously think all of us could use more luncheons in our lives, don't you?  I really hope I'm accepted.

WPW only reviews new applicants once a year.  Applications were due back in March and now today is the live jurying event.  Three pieces are required.  Drop off is between 10 and 11:30 and pick up is between 2 and 3:30.  I won't find out the results for a few weeks yet, but I'm still nervous.  Wish me luck!
